In 1997 the owner Chris Gurney operated a Hamada Star printing press out in his back shed. He decided to try his hand at making and selling fridge magnets through a website. Now, while that was not successful it dawned on him the potential of this new marketing opportunity. Gone would be the days of the daily machine clean up and ink to his elbows. So the printer was eventually 'retired' and a computer took its place.
To get started Chris did his first commercial website for very little just to get started - that was Modern Trailers. It is still operating, only recently having been redesigned, and has been very successful for the client.
